OpMon monitors the IT infra-structure at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), one of the largest in Brazil.

A public university hospital directly linked to the Ministry of Education, the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA)brings together nearly five thousand employees. The scale is huge, with 550 thousand medical consultations, 28.6 thousand hospitalizations, 36 thousand surgeries, 3.6 thousand births and 2.4 million tests each year. This monumental structure requires equal resilience in the IT area that supports all the patient care processes, from which the main product is the electronic health record (EHR). To meet this demand, the hospital has been using OpMon for five years.

The coordinator of Information Technology Management, Maria Luiza Falsarella Malvezzi, explains that the institution opted for the OpServices solution to monitor the network (two thousand points), servers and applications because of its characteristics. According to her, they fully meet the needs of the HCPA, such as "monitoring IT services testing all the layers, being cross-platform and enabling prioritization”. Furthermore, Maria Luiza cites as important, the ease in obtaining availability reports, "in a useful and efficient manner…" and continues, "…the ease of installation and integration of new monitors in addition to the visibility of the overall state of the infrastructure, facilitating corrective action before any commitment is very useful."
The coordinator says that she attended a presentation of version 4.0 of OpMon and was impressed with the new interface, “more friendly and interesting features such as dashboards, which will enhance management consoles.” Regarding the relationship with OpServices, his impressions are also favorable, "where necessary, we are handled promptly."

Mitsubishi Motors approves OpMon's performance

OpMon is used throughout Mitsubishi Motors of Brazil, which operates plants in Sao Paulo and in Catalão, Goiás. Founded 58 years ago, the Avipam is among the five largest travel agencies in Brazil in sales volume and, in addition to individuals, the tourism agency serves large corporations such as AmBev, Citibank, Editora Abril, Natura and Grupo Votorantim. It operates over 70 stations, installed in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Vitoria, Salvador and Porto Alegre.

A client of OpServices since the end of 2007, the largest of the 29 existing Unimeds in Rio Grande do Sul brings together nearly six thousand doctors and about half a million users. OpServices monitors the systems at Grendene and helps in the development of the business

Grendene 850 monitors IT elements, of which 200 are business processes, using the solution OpMon, OpServices, customized to your needs. Initially, the company had a need to manage the important role of environment and systems. With an estimated production of 400 pairs of shoes per minute, no permission to unplanned downtime. OpMon increases productivity and produces savings at Banrisul

Thanks to the use of the Opmon IT Management Platform the state bank of Rio Grande do Sul receives award for Infrastructure Management.

"Faster operation, easier management". These were the criteria that led Banrisul to adopt the OpMon IT Management platform, following a rigorous bidding process. The complete adaptability of the technical features of the product, which now monitors 720 servers and 20,450 services, to the needs of Banrisul allowed the establishment of an enhanced cost-benefit relationship, with projected savings of around R$1.4 million over three years.
This led the bank to receive the eFinance'09 award in the Infrastructure Management category. The award, which was created in 2002 by the Revista Executivos Financeiros (Executive Finance Journal), annually highlights infrastructure solutions and applications in the IT and Telecom areas that have helped to improve the quality of services provided by financial institutions.

The jury of eFinance 2009 was composed of academics and professors with extensive experience in IT and finance.
